Tryst

A sudden drizzle pours forth
Filling the breach
Of our ardor.
Unsubtle pebbles
Flung by feet on clouds
Knocking pedestals
Laying the epilogue
To our tryst.
We seek the highlands
To elude the torrents
And stifle the clamor within.
The water rises
And we are engulfed
By the tides of reverie.
